You make a good point Pete. Buff should be playing with Schiefle and Wheeler while Kane is out. Put Thorburn with Jokinen and Setoguchi... Personally, I'd like to see O'Dell or Peluso play on the 3rd line. |

Pavelec has trouble with shots.
If Chevy is interfering, to what end? Showcasing for a trade? |

Interesting, if not a little on the conspiracy theory side. I am perplexed by the Pavelec situation, but to compare Byguflein to 3 Norris candidates/Olympians is a stretch. The team is better with him at forward, I'd love to see him traded though. |

Buff should only be traded if the return is going to be sky high.
As for Pavelec and Chevy interfering this I can totally see, he signed the guy.
Chevy is trying to save face with the ownership and keeping this guy some what tradeable.
Right now he should be riding Montoya and trying to work on an extension.
If we loose Monty next season and are stuck with Pavelec and an crap back uo we are doomed.

Buff is a forward end of discussion. He was on pace to finish about -45 or so on defence and the move to forward has settled down the entire team. His role on the point on PP is a good one. To compare to Karlson and Pieterangelo is laughable really, why not throw in Weber while your at it.......Buff is a different player that all of these. He is actually using his body as a forward and not just swinging his stick. The next move for Buff now is to an Eastern Conference team, his value is climbing in value right now and at his age, with his commitment it is the perfect time to move him. |

Also the writer should look into Maurice's history with #1 goalies and playing time going back to Arturs Irbe. Hell he even played Andrew Raycroft in Toronto I think 70+ games one year. This is what he does......it doesn't mean as an employee he can't be spoken to about workload etc, but the histroy is "I have a number one goalie and we ride him" |
